Rocky Point is continuing the battle of the 5th Annual Iron Chef Competition on February 11, 2012 from 11AM - 5PM.
Come to the "Shrimp Plaza " Park on the corner of Benito Juarez (Main Road) and Blvd. Freemont (Road to Las Conchas) and try some of the wonderful dishes prepared by local chefs. This event will guarantee to get you hooked on some restaurants here in Rocky Point.

Chef Luca was voted Rocky Point's 2011 Iron Chef and his wonderful dishes sure do support that title.
The sauces are incredible and not heavy. The portions are plentiful and the prices are reasonable.
The restaurant is cozy and fills up on the weekends. Come and taste it for yourself and you will know why it is a favorite among many.
Pane e Vino is opened daily from 5PM - 10:30 (closed on Wednesdays) and now serves brunch on Sundays from 11AM - 2PM.

If you are being pulled over for speeding or missing a stop sign don't panic.
It may be intimidating especially because of the language barrier.....but it is a rather quick & painless process.
What to expect:
-Give your driver's license to the police officer
-Follow the officer to the Police Station located off of Benito Juarez between Kaizen & Banamex Bank. Near the Bodega Aurrera stop light.
-See the Judge
-Pay your ticket (about $25 for a minor traffic violation)
-Get your license back and you are done with the entire process
Tips: Upside:
-Don't bribe the officer -Driving record isn't affected
-Don't pay the officer direct -No huge fine to pay
-If officer is requesting money: -No future court date
a) ask to go to the police station
After driving on the dirt roads in Rocky Point - a car wash is always called for.
"Los Pits Car Wash" is an automatic car wash, hand dried and interior detail with great service and great prices. Wait in the air conditioned lobby while you are having your car washed or go next door to the restaurant "Olas" and grab a bite to eat.

Rocky Point Mexico is getting ready to compete internationally for trade shows, conventions and exhibitions!!
Construction of the city's first convention center is set to start this month and will be finished by the end of 2011, officials say.
With an investment of about $10 million and a capacity of 6,000 visitors, the center will be able to accommodate any type of event.

Rocky Point's first professional baseball team "El Tiburones" which translates in English as "The Sharks" will play in Rocky Point this Tuesday - Thursday (5/24 - 5/26).
